I remember freaking out when I first saw the original Petrang Kabayo. Roderick Paulate's transformation into a frickin' horse was probably the most disturbing imagery of my childhood next to Michael Jackson's zombie face in the Thriller video. I don't think I'll freak out when I see the new Petrang Kabayo movie (Oh yes, I will see it.) because 1) they'll probably use stupid CG effects and 2) Sam Pinto will be there to make seeing whatever disturbing thing that appears onscreen bearable.
