Sam Pinto: Angela Markado

Angela Markado, a Filipino comic book created by Carlo J. Caparas, was adapted into film by the Philippines' most celebrated director, Lino Brocka. It stars Hilda Koronel and it's about a poor girl who is raped and sold into sex slavery, She eventually escapes and finds out that things aren't getting better due to the fact that her mother's dead and her best friend was also raped by the same bunch of dudes who raped her. Then she becomes a vigilante out for REVENGE. And JUSTICE. She's almost like Batman but not really.

Anyway, the movie is apparently getting a remake and the top choice right now for the title role? Sam Pinto. I like her and all but I think she's an odd choice. We'll see.

We're not scratching our heads over Sam Pinto, Raymond Gutierrez.

In a pointless article strangely titled Sam Pinto: Basic Instinct, Raymond Gutierrez tells us that we weren't sure why Sam Pinto became famous. Once again, Gutierrez shows his limited view of fame (you guys remember what he said about Tricia Gosingtian, right?) by stating that "she had us scratching our heads because she was famous for... no one was really sure what." Maybe you were scratching your head, buddy. Sam Pinto has a rocking body and a rocking face as you pointed out later in your article. Nobody was blindsided. It's either you think she's hot or you don't. You don't wonder why a pretty girl is famous because in this country, you only get famous for a number of things and that includes -- sadly -- just being really, really pretty.

Highly unlikely with her tiny yet rocking body. But that doesn't stop her from making Jolie her peg for her next movie role, though. She'll be starring with Cesar Montano in "Hitman" which I assume is an old school Filipino action movie. Good for them.

In other news, Alden "Pambansang Dimples" (LOL) Richards made a not-so-smooth move by asking Sam Pinto out in public. Real smooth, buddy. Real smooth.

FHM's 100 Sexiest Women in the World 2011 list has been revealed and guess who's on top. That's right. Sam Pinto. Was there any doubt? Yes there was. She was battling Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin for the top spot throughout the voting period but towards the end, initial tallies showed that she was taking the lead. Sam Pinto: Engaging Her Fans Via Twitter and Facebook

Sam Pinto has always been friendly to fans on Twitter. She frequently answers questions from fans through the social networking site, and sometimes, she obliges different requests from strangers like to promote their stuff or to tell them where she'll hang out next. People are strange. And creepy.

Starting today, she's also taking questions on her official Facebook fan page. I took advantage of this opportunity to ask her her Oscar bet for Best Picture. I didn't exactly get the answer I was hoping for, but hey, at least she talked to me, right?

Being very much into social networking, we can all expect to see her granting requests and answering questions on a regular basis. That's a win for us fans. HURRAY!
